OT: Favorite summer cocktail....

Pilsner or IPA straight from a cold bottle in the summer.
Hendrick's gin + tonic and some cucumber is tough to beat too.
I have a 300 page Trader Vic's cocktail recipe book from the 1960s. Great find at $5. Thousands of recipes.

Beefeater Martini, very cold, very dry, up, one olive. Always a second one but with a twist. All four seasons.

With the unbelievably nice forecast for the weekend, time to switch to summer cocktails. Rarely drink beer (usually only at the beach) and I am a Bacardi/diet drinker year round, but for the summer I love some Tanqueray Rangpur on the rocks or with some tonic. I was introduced to Moscow Mules during our trip to Hawaii in February (with some out of this world homemade ginger beer), so I grabbed some unused copper mugs from my parents and am adding it to my "rotation". You?

Try a Dark 'n Stormy. Made from this:
Gosling's Black Seal Rum (looks like molasses; this is a very dark rum)
Gosling's ginger beer.
Had them in Key West. Now I make them at home occassionally. I think they said they're the national drink of Bermuda. That's where Gosling's is made.

Bombay Sapphire Gin Martini and Belvedere and 7 Up for me

My wife likes pomegranate martinis and cosmopolitan (but with much more cranberry juice than the recipe calls for)
