Should be a good one.

Ruhwedel in for the injured Daley.

HBK line reunited.

Tight checking game so far.

Caps with 2 shots on goal so far .... Pens with no shots on goal.

Pens killed a power play.

0-0 with 12:29 to play 1st period.

Fleury with a flurry of saves (3) .... still 0-0, 9:31 to play 1st period.

Caps had a 3 on 1 but did not score.

Hooking on Crosby .... another PP for the Caps .... Caps starting to come on.

Goalieman- what are caps doing that we can't possess puck? Anything special? We are not a good cycling team so that is not working.

Series in peril

Sheary has been hot garbage this series. Hainesy has not been very good either. Pens defense has not made the quick play to get the puck out of their zone.

Last goal was not a good one for the Flower.

Caps are winning all the one on one battles. Not looking good for the good guys. They've basically been outplayed all series. Amazing they are up one headed into game 6 given how badly they've been outplayed.

Caps are out skating us , more physical on the puck, winning the battle on the boards and winning the forechecking battle ...... they are coming in waves ...... our D-men aren't getting the breakout passes going fast enough or accurate enough and the Caps are all over us..... we are on our heels...... pretty much total domination by the Caps so far.

Pens power play coming up. Hopefully they show more interest in shooting this time than making pretty passes

Pens seem to have dead legs........Just getting beat to pucks and not winning one on one battles.

Stick a fork in the Pens............Washington has clearly been the better team and I dont see that changing in Game 7. Flowers game has come back down to earth and Holtby seems to have gotten his together.

Hockey is still a garage league. Way too much stick work and still lots of clutching and grabbing.

The Pens backline looks like it's put together with chewing gum right now. Not having Daley eliminates anyone that can carry the puck. But make no mistake, Washington has played a perfect game tonight.

damn I feel sorry for the Pens goalie, the Pens defense reminds me of Pitt's secondary last season

Caps just woke up and realized they are better than Pittsburgh. 5-0 now, like a cat toying with a mouse.
Last 4 periods, Caps dominating the Pens.

Have to hand it to Trots. I don't think modern coaches actually like to dial up the goonery but he saw his team on its heels and he knew it was their only chance to reverse it.

Pens need to change things up in game 7.

If Murray is healthy do you start him. Pens didnt help Flower but he did let in some bad goals. Perhaps with a different goalie they rest of the team elevates their play. I would like to see Flower go out on top though. Hes a great guy.

Pens need to finish checks. Need to be far more physical and take the game to the caps.

Have to put this game behind them. Just a poor effort all around.

Willl need Crosby and Malkin to step up to win. Tonights effort especially by Malkin was bad. Caps seem to have Sid off his game. He seems to be more focused on retaliation than playing.

Just not sure the Pens can do it. Their D looks slow and plodding. Missing Tanger and Daily has really hurt. Ollie and Hainsey are too slow. Brian D seems to be hurt......not playing well. Cole is the only guy on D who has played well.

Caps played this whole game in a defensive shell. From the start they played back and counter attacked waiting for mistakes from the Pens who proceeded to commit one after the other. They have kept the Pens away from the slot and frustrated them until they fell apart.

I think it's too late. Unless they get lucky again like game 4, this season is slipping away.

Fleury has been the only decent player really.

And it's a familiar book with Crosby, and Malkin for that matter...They indeed get off their game when abused ... WHEN NOBODY ELSE RETALIATES FOR THEM.

Well two late goals, something to build on. Crosby involved and Malkin scores.

At least they gave the Caps something to think about for Wednesday.

Pens showing some life...........gotta hope it carries over into game 7

Wilson is a goon........dude takes runs at players all night long and never gets called. Just took 5 steps before boarding Malkin

That was brutal. They were abused totally. I know Fleury is getting blasted as the last two games he has turned Fleury like numbers and results, but when you have like 5 shots on the Washington goal after 2 periods, it ain't all MAF for sure.

The Caps have this. The only thing now is the Game 7. The pressure switches. But the Caps have all the momentum. The Pens got to play better. They can. You hear the cliches "simplify the game" and that is exactly what has to happen. Shoot the effing puck on the PP. OK? Is it that hard? Drive the puck to the net. Forecheck. STOP LOOKING TO MAKE THE EXTRA PASS!!! Style points don't count.

Geno is on a milkcarton. What the .........

Jesus, play him on a wing with Sid once in awhile.

Sit Sheary. Play Wilson. Sheary is just overmatched in this series. Not a good matchup for him.

The Pens look tired.

Olli Maatta is the only Pens Dman seemingly playing with any confidence and willing to skate with the puck.

I don't know if it is possible for a team to turn the puck over more.

It's a one game series.

The only good to this, every Stanley Cup Winner faces that moment........the Pens have had it easy and really without problems until now.

I picked the Caps before the season to win the Cup. I picked the Caps before the series to win in 7. My reasonings were two fold, 1) the loss of Letang is huge and we are seeing it. 2) at some point, it has to be their year, they are too good not to have one.

Agree on all points....

Pens have to find their legs to have a chance in Game 7. Last night, they looked totally spent. They looked like they finally hit the wall which frankly is common for teams coming off winning the Stanley Cup. That is why it is so difficult to repeat.

They really have zero and I mean zero transition offense from their defenseman without Letang and now Daley. Maatta tries but he is just not fast enough to get to the transition game like Daley/Letang are.

Sheary has been awful the whole series. Why in the world was he playing on Sid's wing last night while Gentzel was playing on a different line.

The refs are a joke too. They let Wilson run around taking shot after shot at different players and then call Gentzel who is 5'8 160 lbs soaking wet for roughing. They let Beagle take shot after shot on Crosby in front of net and call nothing. At worst, both of them should be sent off.

Agree as well with moving Geno to Sid's wing. Stay with the HBK line for Game 7 and hopefully have 2 strong lines and then ahve lines 3 and 4 being the grinders is enough to pull out the win.

While Fluery is not the blame, he has been mostly good but has gotten little help, they need him to play better to have a chance to win Game 7. He has been just ok the last few games and He needs to almost steal a game for them to have a chance at winning game 7.

Well, before you can shoot the puck, you first have to get the puck into your zone.
Time after time last night they failed to gain the zone, and when they did, the Caps made their stays very short.
Two late meaningless goals for the Pens, however, at least it was something positive late. Maybe it will light a fire. They need to dig really deep, we'll see what they're made of Wednesday.

If you went by history, the Pens have them right where they want them. Even with game 7 in DC, it's a toss up, Caps won't blow them out, I can see the Pens winning, Caps are just as likely to choke as they are to dominate. I think Game 7, pressure is on the Caps, in 12 years, TWELVE YEARS! Ovie hasn't made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs, 3 times with Presidents Cup teams.
