before. I’m guessing no. That’s a crazy FB score for any FB game let alone a championship winner.

there were 0 - 0 ties many years ago

is aliquippa coaching that good or are they just talented players?

they are always extremely undisciplined and regularly lose big games because they can't develop a kicker

Probably both. They’re single A enrollment playing at 3A and have a huge turnout of kids to play every season.

Re: the undisciplined I think I heard they had 20 penalties yesterday. But making Heinz Field 10 years in a row is pretty friggin impressive.

I saw a 2-1 game back in the late 80's. The game was played in the remnants of Hurricane Ivan in sideways rain on a mud field (Kiski area vs Indiana). The safety was a snap over the punter's head and the 1-pointer was a FG attempt that was blocked and the blocking team didn't know the rules and fell on the ball in the EZ for a rare 1-point safety. Zero passes thrown and probably less than 10 total 1st downs.

I have never, ever heard of a 1 point safety in any type of situation. Makes me curious, is that a rule that still exists in any level of football today?

Maybe I'm remembering it incorrectly. I'm pretty sure thats what the ruling was though. It was a long time ago and it was a looooong game, sitting there, getting pelted with rain for hours.

these had to be the most forgettable championship games ever, the 5 A game wasn't interesting until the last few minutes
