Quality OL prospect. Pitt was in his final four. Picked UVA yesterday. Would have been a nice get.
He didn't have a comittable offer from Pitt. He couldn't have committed last night to Pitt because they didn't want him.Quality OL prospect. Pitt was in his final four. Picked UVA yesterday. Would have been a nice get.
Pitt wanted him to camp during the summer. Hubbard didn't. Not sure why. Pitt didn't want him anymore. He is a 4 star OL and rated as one of the top players in the state.Hubbard would have been one of the better players in this class.

Absolutely. Thats why i dont like crooting small school lineman. Hubbard has not gone up against 1 D1 defensive lineman in HS and has relied solely on size. When it comes to OL and DL give me someone from a big school and battle tested. Wish him luck though.Maybe but with OL you never know. We know they are the hardest to evaluate. Sure I would have liked Pitt to get him. Yes he is 4 star but many ppl like to look at offers and he didn’t have any major powers. We have a guy in Carter Warren who is a huge dude like Hubbard and he had big offers like Miami, PSU, Michigan etc. Right now Warren is behind guys like Houy, Hargrove and Van Lynn who did not have near the offer sheets.
Unless you are Alabama etc and can sign the huge dudes who are also athletic I would rather have the guy who is an athlete like Houy that needs a year in the weight room. A guy like Hubbard needs to drop weight and improve his foot work a ton or guys will just blow by him. It’s not HS where he is just bigger and stronger than everyone.
Yeah, I think they wouldve took him and tried to develop him, BUT I'm not torn up. Ive seen him play and the talent he plays against. He went to Virginia with the understanding hes playing early. I think hes going to get a dose of reality. This is false
