holy crap I knew it would be dark and good

I didn’t expect as much on either count

A pretty amazing reimagining of the Joker tale ... excellent acting and photography...

Totally understand why it’s winning awards and Phoenix is being talked about for Best Actor... he was practically a contortionist

As I understand it the idea was to be a stand alone idea but they certainly set a stage for other possibilities...

Agree. It was great. I loved the small winks and nods to bruce Wayne origin story.

It wasn’t a total remake of “Taxi Driver” but had some similar themes.
Don’t think the word “Batman” was ever used.
Really was a powerful movie and elevated Joaquin Phoenix to a new level.
Great movie.

I fully expect the story to continue based on the ending. Great movie!
Curious about this given among pretty much everything the film never commits to reality. Could argue all of it or none of it happened. It's a have your cake and eat it too in every way imaginable.

I have to admit I had serious doubts that he was ever even invited to the late show given some earlier reveals on reality vs delusion ... once I realized that part was real it was obvious he was seeking some revenge
