He may want to poll the non-power 5 to find out if they would like to give up the big paychecks, first.Mack Brown's idea to revamp the CFP:
"I would make room for all 5 conference champs in a 6 team playoff, with an at-large. I would also remove the games from the schedule that are just scrimmages for money, and have the Non-Power 5 schools play for their own Championship."
Don't underestimate Brown & NC. He hired solid offensive & defensive coordinators, they have some talent and are doing very well with recruiting.
UNC has deep pockets, and seems willing to open them up for Brown.Mack Brown can definitely succeed at UNC. All he needs to do is find some capable coordinators, hand things off to them, and be the figurehead/closer for recruiting. Let's hope it goes sideways fast and he decides to go back to retirement. The worst case scenario is that he does really well for 5-10 with a capable OC/DC who becomes HCIW and then continues sailing the ship in the same direction for another 10.
