OT: Mary Wise (UF Volleyball Coach) Retiring

Mary Wise, 34 year veteran coach of Florida volleyball just announced her retirement today. I had mentioned it in another thread but Florida had already picked up 3 high caliber OHs in the portal this offseason - will be interesting to see if there is any movement there after her retirement

I know the NCAA has a 30 day window for players to enter the portal after their coach leaves/retires, but I don’t know how that’s supposed to benefit the players when coaches wait until enrollment deadlines have passed.

I don’t know the details about the Florida or Nebraska coaches retiring, but both of them seemed like they were timed to ensure their players had to stay through the spring semesters. How could you logistically transfer in the next 30 days at this point?
