Nebraska: Parker Gabriel tweets the entire salary of Scott Frost’s staff is as follows; DC Erik Chinander ($800k), OC Troy Walters ($700k), DL coach Mike Dawson ($475K), OL coach Greg Austin ($475k), OLBs coach / special teams coordinator Jovan Dewitt ($475k), TEs coach Sean Beckton ($400k), QBs coach Mario Verduzco ($375k), DBs coach Travis Fisher ($300k), RBs coach Ryan Held ($300k), ILBs coach Barrett Rudd ($200k) and strength coach Zach Duval ($375k).

I just read that Mike Riley is being paid by Oregon State $50,000 per year he is receiving from Nebraska a monthly paycheck of $165K for the next couple of years.

When a S&C coach is making $375K, it really puts into light for me why my interest in and passion for college sports has really fizzled over the past 10 years or so.

Good for Nebraska. They’re serious about winning and willing to show recruits and other potential coaches who may want to look around where to go to get paid.

Not sure why salaries at Pitt are so secretive. What’s the benefit?

Is $5 million for assistants at a Big Ten school that much? We were going to pay an OC $1 million

Because, it’s been Pitt’s culture for years and years. No transparency. But they expect people to donate.

That shouldnt be a reason to NOT donate, it's more common than you think. In our own state, I dont believe Penn State OR Temple reveal the salaries of its assistant coaches either.
Either do such notable schools such as Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Stanford, Miami, Duke, TCU, Baylor, Naval Academy... the list goes on. Locally, WVU does though. Tony Gibson is the highest paid down there, and is in the Top 25 -- without him that program would wilt, he keeps recruits flowing in. A couple schools have multiple coaches in the Top 25 of the highest paid assistant coaches.
Alabama has 4
Michigan has 3
LSU, Georgia and Florida have 2 each

Nebraska was 4-8 this past year, so they are not that serious.

It doesn't matter if pitt releases the information or not, there at the bottom of the list of power 5 schools on how much they spend
