vs. Cal. Cal beat Pitt yesterday to put the Panthers in the elimination bracket. Cal lost to Michigan today, while Pitt beat Oakland. Winner faces Michigan tomorrow, loser goes home. This is Pitt's first NCAA Tournament.

What a huge couple of wins today in back-to-back elimination games. Came from behind to knock off Horizon League champ Oakland, and then in game two gets a grand slam to go up on #19 Cal in the 5th and eventually win 6-3. Cal is a perennial softball power, run ruled Pitt yesterday, and Pitt just eliminated them to go to the regional final. Pitt will have to beat #3 seed Michigan twice tomorrow to advance to the Super Regional, but what a showing by Pitt today. Outstanding pitching through both games by the freshman Kayla Harris (through over 200 pitches on the day).

Ladies on TV at 3:30 on ESPN-U vs #3 ranked Michigan (at Michigan). Double elimination tourney and since Michigan has yet to lose the Pitt ladies would have to beat Michigan twice to advance. If they should beat Michigan in the 3:30 game they would have to play Michigan again at 6:00 pm.

Looks like the end of the line now. Down 8-0 in 3rd inning vs Michigan. Oh well. They made a nice run especially for a first ever NCAA tourney.
