Adam Silver recently said that the NBA will look to play an 82 game season in 2021 and will likely be ditching the "bubble" in favor of traditional home games (like the NFL/MLB).
None of us know what the next few months will bring, but assuming that COVID is still a thing, the Toronto Raptors will likely be prohibited from traveling in and out of the country just as the Blue Jays were this summer. I know that the Jays were looking to play in Pittsburgh and that fell through (please no politics), but it would be pretty cool to see the Raptors play in Pittsburgh next year. It's probably Pittsburgh's only hope of ever having an NBA franchise.
The Pete is already set up for major TV broadcasts and has an in-house studio. With Pittsburgh being well suited regionally for the Raptors' division, it's hard to imagine a better location for their 2021 season. It could also give the NBA a bit of a much needed boost in popularity in the region. Maybe @ UConn, but I doubt these guys want to spend 8 months in Storrs. Could be cool to see and perhaps set up some interesting recruiting opportunities for Capel with some of his old players coming to town on a regular basis (Kyrie, Tatum).
