OT: Plane Crash

It's utterly weird that we know who was on the plane, but little is being said about the helicopter crew. Usually, with our vapid media, that means something.
Like the school shootings.

I saw a CNN article today that listed the ethnicities of passengers and pilots on the commercial flight. Seriously I did. It’s out there. Why is that important? A victim is a victim regardless of their ethnicity. And why is the Helicopter info not in the same article?

it seems the pilot name was andrew eaves, but who knows if it's true. someone falsely accused another women of being the pilot to the point where she had to go on social media and tell everyone that it wasnt her..

i dont believe the pilot trainee's name has been mentioned.

If it was a training flight, probably shows why they needed training. Not a good time of day or location to train in though.
there was another issue just 24 hours prior, same location. Commercial flight was landing, had to divert their landing due to a military helicopter being in its way.

it's under investigation. but yeah, to your point, probably good idea to move the training exercises to a different area..

Update. As I said it’s clear the copter pilot is primarily to blame but ATC appears to bear significant responsibility as well.

It's definitely not a single cause. It's a myriad of mistakes and a systemic fault within both the FAA and the military. It is about the competencies of the people or lack of competency.
