Wonder when they’re going to update the video screen. Most teams have gotten edge-to-edge video screens in recent years.Have they ever at Heinz Field?

Nutting is waiting. Park is 20 yo, and Three Rivers lasted 30. So in a few years it will be time to cry about major upgrades or a new facility. Based on precedent. Personally I believe the baseball park will outlive the football stadium.Wonder when they’re going to update the video screen. Most teams have gotten edge-to-edge video screens in recent years.
You’re probably right. I hope that park is there for the next 100 years. No need to construct a new one elsewhere when you can add renovations to maintain its current state and, if “necessary,” can expanded seating and box suites.Nutting is waiting. Nutting has made it clear that he is not selling. He plans to pass the team on to his children. He’s said this on numerous occasions.Good. Let him start bitching and then do nothing for him. Maybe he will look to sell.
I do think the yellow looks cool with our new uniforms, but I'd still rather have black, which would be much less conspicuous when empty.
PNC park gets roughly 4 times the use that Heinz gets.Nutting is waiting. Park is 20 yo, and Three Rivers lasted 30. So in a few years it will be time to cry about major upgrades or a new facility. Based on precedent. Personally I believe the baseball park will outlive the football stadium.
I think PNC Park will outlive multiple football stadium in town, and could outlive most of the baseball stadiums in the "new retro" era that started with Camden Yards in the early to mid 90's. It was nearly perfect when it opened and was designed with capacity for upgrades/expansion in mind. It's also distinct enough in it's design, location, and view to stand the test of time; if only it could host more than 3 good teams every 20+ years. Petco is another from the era that stands out and could span a few generations of fans.
While modern baseball stadiums like Cincy's are nice and huge upgrades over their predecessors, I'm not sure they survive past the typical 30 year lifespan of modern stadiums.

I guess you are too young to have been to Crosley Field.I grew up a huge die hard Reds fan & just out of pure sentimental value, I'd take Riverfront any day. I saw so many games there, including the 90 NLCS games 1, 2 & 6 and games 1 & 2 of the WS. I loved that place.
I haven't been into baseball since the 94 strike, but of the places I've attended, PNC is easily my favorite.

I went to a game in Municipal stadium in Cleveland in the late 70s. Middle of summer and the temp in the real world was in the 80s. I froze my ass off in that canyon of a stadium/Yes. Too young for Crowley.
I did see games at the old Cleveland Stadium, Tiger Stadium, and Comisky.
They tried it, but zoning board shot it down...Why are the club level seats pewter?
Only thing they could maybe do is spell out 'Pittsburgh' to break up sea of gold as anything else would be a prohibited 'roof top sign'.
No.Have they ever at Heinz Field?

They replaced the seats at Heinze either last season or the season before.
the guess the hope is maybe his kids don’t end up wanting it and sell.
Single biggest reason to bring back the inheritance tax would be to force failure Nutting's failure kids to sell the team rather than pay $700M in taxes.
You just triggered a half-dozen members.
Well, lots of them have been empty lately, but 81 x 15000 is still a lot of butts in seats. Not so many empties at the Pickle Palace.Have they ever at Heinz Field?

I saw 24 games at the Mistake from 1980 until it closed, including two no hitters. One memorably COLLLLD day was in April, 1992, I think. Red Sox and Tribe had a rainout rescheduled for a Sunday afternoon. Four of us drove up. Clemens pitched a two-hitter and won the opener. The Matt Young pitched a no-no but LOST. Indians scored 2 runs on 2 hits and earned a split. The wind was roaring off the lake. I was never so cold in my life.I went to a game in Municipal stadium in Cleveland in the late 70s. Three of my favorites! Tiger at the top. My buds and I caught baseballs outside Comiskey one night while we waited for traffic to thin. There was a playground next to the ballpark.Yes. Too young for Crowley.

Not in PA. Of course, many think the Federal Estate Tax is an inheritance tax.Is the inheritance tax gone?
nope, and I think they have the dinocat on one the side of each...that being said they don't get the same ass play as a baseball park...Have they ever at Heinz Field?
