He's on record as having hit the third longest homer in history but the site didn't have video as the other homers on the list. Figure there's a fan here so why not ask. The Dodger Stadium or Philly Vet shots?

John Bocabella (sp) great intro on the PA. Steve Rogers. Gary Carter. That's all I remember. Tim Wallach was later.[/QUOTE]

I was going to post that. Their announcer whould say his last name with such a florish. John BOCcaBELLAAA. The guy was a journeyman catcher in the early 70"s and I remember him just for announcer saying his name. +
Tim Foli played the bulk of his career there in the early/mid 70's.

Brings back memories of how much I couldn't stand Howard Cosell .

Of course then you'll remember the Montreal PA announcer introducing Stargell as "Willie Star-GELL". I also remember him giving Donn Clendenon's last name a very French pronunciation ("Clon-da-NON", with a long O). Since I was taking high school French, I also got a kick out of the positions in French (Stargell, then still the left fielder, was "le voitigeur au gauche").

4-5. He hit into a double play with the bases loaded in the 9th. The two pitches before that he smoked both of them just foul down the first base line. Another foot to the left on either of them and he ends up 5-5 with 3 doubles and a homer and 5 rbis.

I guess it's too bad he had to settle for 4-5 with 2 doubles and a homer.
