As many of you know my wife and I lost our son Cody to neuroblastoma after he battled for 4 years. Many of you may also know that we organized Cody's Crew Foundation, a non-profilt to raise much needed research dollars. Last September we awarded our 2nd $100,000.00 research grant and are well on our way to our 3rd.
Every September, (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) we put on a 5K, 1 Mile and Tot Trot in Manassas, VA. Starting last year we also added the virtual 5K. This provides an opportunity for those who don't live in this area to run their own 5K in an area of their choice and still get one of our awesome medals and t-shirts. To help motivate people we are doing a "Paint the Country Gold" event. We are trying to get runners from all over the country. I'm enclosing a link to signup and a photo of the updated map.
