The post show career of a few of the original members certainly took some interesting turns.

Don’t see this lasting long. 90210 struggled to gain anything on the reboot. I think reboots are just another way of saying we can’t be creative enough to come up with new ideas.

Excellent point, the appeal of the show was the way it related to its audience. Unless their target audience is guys like us it won’t work.

reboot after reboot of almost everything
It seems that the only place for original ideas anymore is Anime!

I loved Saved By The Bell and would watch this but I'm definitely not paying for another streaming service. Jessie and Slater would have to have main roles though to keep me interested.

I actually dont think there's been enough reboots. Fuller House and Roseanne/The Conners have been an enormous success and I'm very surprised more shows from that generation haven't been rebooted:

Family Matters
Perfect Strangers
Step by Step
Wonder Years
Fresh Prince (even without Will Smith since he's big time)
Growing Pains
Who's the Boss

Melrose irritated me because they made one of my 80's favorites, Courtney Thorne-Smith, all pasty and ugly.. maybe it was just the nineties or an awkward time for her but she was incredible in 80's and actually is still smoking hot for someone probably in their 50's. she was on Two and a half men and has aged spectacularly. for some weird reason, she was awful looking in Melrose place..

If you don't know who this is, she was in Summer school and Revenge of the Nerds 2..

The Saved By The Bell reboot is going to be on NBC's new streaming service so they'll most likely keep it around for a few seasons.

They should have rebooted it as a drama like they did with The Brady Bunch in the early 90's!

The only show I can think of that had a legit run as a "reboot" was "Girl Meets World". Brought back the "Boy Meets World" kids as parents of the star of the show, his daughter. My kid loved the show so it was always on in the background. It was at least creative and original. Didn't really rely on the old show at all.

Decent since it’s on a Disney owned basic cable channel, unless a show bombs big time Disney will keep it around until it hits a certain amount of episodes.

Also, those who own the franchise see easy money. And easy money trumps creativity any day.
