Maybe they just need to think that their goalie might be hurt before they get extended time in the offensive zone.
Dumoulin did a great job pinching and keeping the puck in the zone , Crosby won the battle on the boards behind the net and made a nice pass to Kunitz, Kunitz made a great pass to Sheary who put it in an open net ...... really great sequence !
He was on such a torrid pace that you knew he likely wouldn't keep it up, but as you said, he is in a scoring slump and can't seem to hit the net, hopefully he can pick it up as the series goes on.
Yes way too early. Good news is it seems Pens have gotten to their game. I just hope they don't let Nashville back into the game with a bad penalty or stupid turnover
Are the Pens winning 3-1 or losing 3-1? Listening to the geniuses on tv it sounds like Nashville is doing no wrong
Pens have really only played about 3 good minutes in this game through two ... but rather be lucky than good ... hopefully they can survive the third...
Yeah, Nashville outplayed us by a pretty good margin in the 2nd period .... outshot us 10 to 0 (or one) ...... as the announcers said, they took our breakout passes along the boards away but I thought our wingers weren't getting in position on the boards for the breakouts ...... our wingers have to either be there on the boards for the breakouts (or you also can pass it high over or past their 1st man on the boards) or we could break it out up the middle some, but you have to be careful not to turn it over up the middle or the puck can be in the back of your net quickly ..... on the other hand, if they are on the boards and you take it up the middle quickly, you could get some odd man breaks ...... Pens need to re-establish control and it will be interesting to see what Sullivan has them doing ..... I think we need to get pucks behind their defense to keep their D-men from getting in the offense so much (pin them in their own end)..... it will require speed and a good forecheck.

Like I said, that Jake Guentzel sure does have one heck of a scoring touch!
The good news in that is that it is highly unlikely that the Penguins will play a worse game than this all series, and yet this one is right there to steal.
It worked for Guentzel and it worked for Kunitz ..... you are 2 for 2 .... LOL !
