OT :steeler 2025 off season

I’m no math major but this doesn’t seem to work in favor of signing a 45 million QB. I don’t know if the rookie class is factored in here.

probably not nearly as much as you think. both are on final year of a contract. Maybe a 4th for Pickens, TJ could get you a 2nd but i doubt it..
Yeah - people don’t seem to grasp that trade value is tied to years on a contract.
I mean - bosa was a free agent and only got a 1 year deal, granted he’s been injured.

Myles Garrett demanded a trade - had 2 years left of his contract-
And what did he do ? Resigned not traded . Same will be true of Micah parson .

20m a year puts him at 11th highest paid LT in the league. it's high but if he can be in the top 1/2 of LTs, it's pretty much market value..

11th highest paid left tackle, but now add in all the left tackles who are better than him but are still on their first contract, because you can't really compare guys who sign as free agents with guys on their rookie contracts.

For the record, I don't know how many guys that would be. And I really have no interest in figuring it out. I'm just glad someone else gets to try to figure out how to make Dan Moore a decent tackle. At $20 million a season.
it's also a tad misleading because the site i looked up, there were like 3 or 4 guys making 20m a year. so i said 11th to kind of sugar coat my point but realistically, you could say he is tied for 7th as highest paid...

yes, you can go ahead and question my journalistic integrity..

Well, we brought back Mason Rudolph. Probably not a player I enjoy watching less, because there is a weird cult following in this city who actually think this statue can play.

This is 100% true and I agree.
You know the Steelers and the Browns are gonna play and its going to be Rudolph vs Pickett.
Lot of people were saying the Steelers never gave Rudolph a chance and how they screwed him , lol
Looks like he is over that then.. unreal.
4 million for him is a lot too.

There’s a sick part of me hoping that happens. Although I think a more warped part of me is hoping the Browns sign Russ.

Is it possible for $4 mil to be a lot for a backup QB in today’s NFL, regardless of who that QB is?

And the way things are going with the Steelers QB search, Rudolph could easily end up the starter, wherein $4 mil would be a bargain.

Neither is a good choice but I’d take Rudolph at $4 mil over Rodgers at the $ amount he’s supposedly looking for. Steelers obviously think otherwise but I would have taken Wilson over Rodgers as well.

In today's NFL, $4 million for a veteran backup, meaning not a rookie or guy on his first contract, is dirt cheap. I can't imagine there will be many teams next year with a veteran backup not on his first contract who makes less than that.

4 million for Mason Rudolph is a lot for him. Starter or not.
Heaven help us all if he is . What a boring season it will be.
I mean I probably would like Mason more if soo many people didn't make him out to be more than he is.
He is average at best thrower and is immobile.
