This will probably get deleted soon but maybe we can keep it civil for awhile. As this is a college sports message board, this is somewhat topical.
It seemed to me that the Supreme Court made a decision but didnt really make a decision on the affirmative action case. They ruled that colleges cannot use race alone as a basis for admissions but can use race in how it has affected the applicant's life.
The way I interpret this ruling is "we still think colleges should be able to pick diverse student bodies, we are just going make certain classes write an essay if they want to include their race as basis for admission."
