Nice bereavement post. You do know that was only a show, right? And by the way, I liked Joyce Dewitt better too.

the Chrissy character was just over the top pathetic and i get it was a cheesy sitcom. The dumb blonde is fine but she was almost mentally disabled, like if she was real, she'd be in a special home due to severe mental development and socially inept to function in a normal adult environment.

YOu can be a dumb blonde and still function, Chrissy couldnt. she was a 9 year old in an adult body. ANd they didnt play up the "sex" factor with her at all. Again, im not looking for soft core porn on a network sitcom but she could have been more flirty at least.

I was always more of a Mrs. Roper man myself....always dreamed of getting inside one of her hot housecoats...just a passionate under served vixen..

Dude, Lana, Mrs. Roper, Janet over Chrissy Snow???? Really concerned about you.
So I'm guessing this means you have no interest in my nosy neighbor threesome fantasy involving Raquel Ochmonek from Alf and Gladys Kravitz of Bewitched fame, right?

dont even get me started about my crush on Maggie Malone as a kid, aka, Maggie Seaver from Growing pains. Had a thing for the mom in Mr Belvedere too but not as much..

And Terri wasn’t annoying? For as great as Mr Furley was as a replacement for Mr Roper, recasting a roommate for Jack and Janet didn’t go so well.

For my money those were two of the best characters in tv history.
Roper over Furley, but it was fairly close.

Roper was hilarious when he’d insult Mrs. Roper and then break the fourth wall and grin at the camera. 13 year old Fiver never got tired of that gag.

I have to agree Chrissy was made far too over the top goody-goody and shrill to be enjoyable. After the first season, they also went over the top with her look as well, tons more makeup and almost Barbie doll hair. She was prettier when ‘plain’ in the first couple seasons.

As far as Janet, she wasn’t ever ‘hot’ but they started putting her in hotter outfits later on that improved the situation. But I’m more inclined to favor her perm hair in the first couple years Vs the Pat Benetar hair she was given in the years thereafter. Either way her character was irksome too.

Terri was certainly pretty, almost too pretty/classy for the show, nothing to really get the juices flowing over. The ditzy cousin had a smoking body but they made her even dingier than Chrissy. As characters neither added a thing to the show; solely eye candy.

John Ritter was underrated, a heck of an actor, really good timing and with physical comedy; he, the Ropers, Furley and occasionally smarmy Larry were the reasons to watch that show (as far as the entertainment factor). Jack’s sleazy dean and restaurant boss were funny as well

yes, im aware that Threes Company was a sitcom and not a real life documentary.

loved Janet..
I thought I was the only one that loved Janet more.

And you know all the gay jokes wouldn't fly today. Today you'd have to make a plot making fun of straight people :)

Agree. Very underrated. He rarely did drama, but he was outstanding in Sling Blade.
