Every year at this time, I wonder how much money these conferences make off of the ESPN deal to televise their championship? $100,000? It cant be much more than that. Split that 10-12 ways and its peanuts. Seems Iike some of these conferences would be better off sending their regular season champ......or having a 1 game playoff between the regular season champ and tourney champ if they are different.
Some of these leagues could get a reasonable 12, 13, or 14 seed with a chance to win a game or 2 and get those extra NCAAT shares but they give that up when the wrong team goes.
