For those that are subscribed to The Athletic, I highly recommend reading their latest article regarding Greg Schiano’s return to Rutgers and the ramifications it’s had on New Jersey recruiting across the Big Ten and college football.

In it, they ask several high school coaches across the state which college head coaches they trust the most and the least. Unsurprisingly, Schiano was trusted the most, but Pat Narduzzi received two votes and Pitt received a vote for a non-NJ school recruiting the state the best. Meanwhile, multiple coaches voted James Franklin the least trustworthy (one called him a “showman”) and Jeff Hafley (a NJ native) received votes from both sides.

Additionally, Tim Salem was mentioned more than any non-Rutgers coach as being assistants they were most impressed with. Hopefully this can all lead to better recruiting results from the Garden State moving forward!
