OT: The Pitt show (Max)

I’m assuming it’s based in Pittsburgh? I’ll have to check it out.
Yep. Some nice views of city in first few minutes. Not sure if they will actually focus more on Pitt as will follow a real time hourly format of an ER shift. First episode highlights a lot of stuff with healthcare system/patient systemic issues.

They should make a show about companies who stand in between you and your doctor and exist solely to profit off of your health. These companies are uniquely American. No other Western nation has them. And Americans universally love these for-profit companies. Everyone agrees that instead of healthcare being a universal right, we should let for-profit companies determine what you can get treated for and how much you have to pay. Murica!

Triblive.com had the article about The Pitt. Based on a teaching hospital (AGH). The show is being in LA I believe, with background shots of Pittsburgh.

After now watching both episodes i will give it a more solid watch rec. I feel like they are likely foreshadowing the need for multiple OR rooms for mass trauma event, but maybe not. But just my sense from the subplots that have developed.

Pretty good. It is each hour of a long ER shift. It will be interesting to see how they maintain interest. Been through the scene where you have to make the decision of maintaining someone's life or letting them go.

However, I was curious how the Living Will requirements of someone could be over ruled by the person with Medical Power of Attorney.
