...he won the division in the offseason!

Rudolph passer rating 94.7, 66% completion rate < Mayfield passer rating 71.3, 58% completion rate.....uh, the new light year math. I think it has something to do with a commercials done coefficient number ...He's light years better than Mason "don't call me bubby " Rudolph.
You drafted him for your fantasy team? Who's the a$$clown LOL?Needed that a$$clown to score one point for my fantasy team a few weeks back. Thought I had it locked. He scored 0 points, which is really hard to do for a QB in fantasy football. Never again. He sucks.
Ummm....no he isn't. At least not yet. Right now, he is looking very much like a question mark. He was the #1 overall pick for chrissakes. Rudolph was like the 76th overall pick. To even make this comparison shows just how bad Mayfield has been. He's light years better than Mason "don't call me bubby " Rudolph.
Talk about fake news. He's light years better than Mason "don't call me bubby " Rudolph.
Right now, I'm not so sure. But I would like to see the gutless Steelers cut him loose and open the downfield throwing playbook. He's light years better than Mason "don't call me bubby " Rudolph.
I can see drafting him back in early Sept before the season. You drafted him for your fantasy team? Who's the a$$clown LOL?
I like to think we’re more like the Jeff Fisher Rams (win totals of 7, 7, 6, 7, 4)The Browns are to the NFL what Pitt is to college football.
no, he's really not.. at all. He's light years better than Mason "don't call me bubby " Rudolph.

this is a dumb ass post too. pitt is to college football what the browns are in the NFL? No they are not, not even close.. over last 8 years, the browns are 27-84, pitt is 55-46. we are nine games over .500 and have won a division championship and the browns are 57 games under .500%.The Browns are to the NFL what Pitt is to college football. The guy looked great last year. It's tough to maintain your play at QB when you have 50 years of failure heaped on your shoulders every time you drop back.
I never understood the hype for the Browns this off-season. They were building a nice roster but it was nuts. Now all those press clippings are starting to smolder at their feet. If they lose the upcoming games to the Steelers, there is going to be a bonfire raging around everyone involved with that organization.

He's also a # 1 pick with OBJ and Jarvis Landry at WR, and Nick Chubb at RB. I think if Mason had those weapons, his performance would be better than Mayfield's.He was also the #1 overall pick, so that's a dumb comparison.
True. Makes the following even more impressive:He's also a # 1 pick with OBJ and Jarvis Landry at WR, and Nick Chubb at RB. I think if Mason had those weapons, his performance would be better than Mayfield's.
Over the past 50 years, the Browns have been roughly .500 and a distant 2nd to their rivals, the Steelers just as Pitt has been a middling program in comparison to the Nitters. Sure, they've been wretched the past few seasons just as Pitt has been for stretches but for the most part, both have been mediocre with stretches of being good that usually ended with soul crushing failure. Both fan bases are comically fatalistic due to an odd obsession with distant greatness that is always believed to be soon to be re-ignited in the near future.this is a dumb ass post too. pitt is to college football what the browns are in the NFL? No they are not, not even close.. over last 8 years, the browns are 27-84, pitt is 55-46. we are nine games over .500 and have won a division championship and the browns are 57 games under .500%.
How do you even make a stupid comment like that. in what way possible do you compare pitt to the browns? It's a stupid comment, makes no sense whatsoever and you are a clown for even thinking it..
Yup...The Browns are the equivalent to Rutgers.this is a dumb ass post too. pitt is to college football what the browns are in the NFL? Does he really have a weak arm? Doesn’t look bad to me. He’s making the throws that needs to be made. Really hangs in pocket, almost too long to be honest. A rare skill for a younger qb.Bubby Rudolph has a candy ass arm. Ok for the balloon balls that receivers high point. But sucks throwing into tight spots down field. He bloes. And please don't bring up the obligatory he smoked Pitt. That ain't Dennis" I suck "Briggs back there in coverage now.
dude, im a tad bit younger than you and i don't even remember this ever being a really good rivalry. they had good teams in the 80's, steelers were very mediocre.. im too young to remember the steelers 70's teams but we had a nice little thing with the Oilers and Bum PHillips and nothing with the browns.. could care less about the 60's but yeah, browns were really good and steelers were historically bad before 1972.I have to admit, the Cleveland Browns have been dead to me for 20 years as a rival. They haven't won or competed with the Steelers since they returned as a franchise. It says alot that the winningest QB in Browns Stadium history, is Ben Roethlisberger, who only plays there one game a year.
But this offseason, with all of the hype, with Mayfield's cockiness, the Browns fans cockiness, everyone anointing them the next AFC Power, well this is absolutely hilarious. I questioned Mayfield as the #1 overall pick. I definitely questioned the hiring of BarBQ pit master Freddie's Kitchen as their head coach.
They have fallen completely on their face. It is hilarious.
Yeah honestly......I started being able to comprehend the NFL say in the mid 70's. You are right, when the Browns got good in the 80's, the Steelers were mediocre. I am thinking the only real time they went head to head is in the mid 90's before they moved and that one season in 2001 when Maddox led them to the playoff comeback win.dude, im a tad bit younger than you and i don't even remember this ever being a really good rivalry. they had good teams in the 80's, steelers were very mediocre.. im too young to remember the steelers 70's teams but we had a nice little thing with the Oilers and Bum PHillips and nothing with the browns.. could care less about the 60's but yeah, browns were really good and steelers were historically bad before 1972.
how many truly meaningful games have we had? There was something in 02 or 03. i think, playoff game where they were up big and foge Fazio and the browns played prevent and tommy Maddox came back (I could have my facts wrong.. that was like a first round playoff game though. wasn't there something at Heinz maybe in late 90's? i remember Kordell running around at a night game and throwing some TD and being excited..
But think about the steelers vs browns. for playing twice every year for a 1/2 century, there is an incredibly small amount of meaningful games between the two. i think of steelers rivals, raiders back in the day, ravens last 20 years. hell, the steelers and Jags have had more meaningful divisional games than the browns and steelers and we were in the same division for like 5 years..
i truly don't get this steelers/browns rivalry. outside of our cities being kinda close, it makes no sense..

I think the rivalry existed when the Browns dominated and the Steelers sucked and Pittsburgh was jealous (well before my time) and the Steelers became dominant and the Browns sucked. It is definitely more of a rivalry to older folks, yes, even older than me.![]()

Actually, 2 weeks later we went into Cleveland with Brister, Hoge and Lipps out and dominated and beat them in a low scoring game. Both teams were pretty good that year which was a great time in the rivalry. The division came down to Pitt- Cle a few times in the 80's and both teams had great players who really got up for the game. We were real close to beating Denver and playing in Cleveland in the AFC Championship that year.I still have an old gazette somewhere with the infamous BOLDED score 51-0
Browns clobbered the Steelers. It was a dark time
