OT: Tomlin: Steelers "Should win it all"

I don't care what someone says before a game or bout, I only judge them by what they say afterward. As long as they are gracious in either victory or defeat I have no problem.

He’s probably right. Atlanta figured out Brady for 3 quarters.

People get mad when does coach speak.

They get mad when he says this.

His wins and losses are up there in history with the greatest ever.

Tons of Steeler fans hate him though. Wonder why?
why?...me thinks losing gimme games they should win and then ending up in places like Foxboro in January.

Coach speak gets old. I always loved the Steelers of the early 2000s because they held nothing back when speaking to the media about the Ravens. Everyone knows what the expectations are. No reason to hide it.

He is, again, giving a team that doesnt need it more bulletin board material. Pittsburgh let a rookie qb make them look stupid last night and he is going to run his mouth regarding winning the Super Bowl? Which would go through Brady, who has more ownership of the Steelers than the Rooney family does.

Ridiculous, and with regards to Narduzzi he would not be dumb enough to predict that Pitt would beat Miami BEFORE the contest. Because if he had Miami would have come out like gangbusters and probably incinerated Pitt.

Anyway I dont know what Tomlin was thinking.

All coaches do "coach speak" and I dont really care. They do it for a reason. No reason to give extra motivation to your opponent if you dont have to.

Bulletin board material doesn’t work in the Nfl. But if it did he would be giving his team as much as he was giving New England.

Moreover, do you think New England needs added incentive then the number 1 seed and home field advantage? Crazy

The game will determine home field most likely. NE doesn’t need bulletin board material.

if that is the case why the big deal over Antonio Brown in the locker room last season? Remember what Tomlin said in the locker about NOT giving New England bulletin board material, while that clown was taping it the entire time?

What happened to Pittsburgh in that game against New England?

Baloney. Pitt did not give Miami bulletin board material and were able to sneak up on Miami, who probably were looking ahead to Clemson. Why don't you ask former players if bulletin board material gives them extra motivation?

The same thing that has happened all the other times they played them. And again that was for a trip to the super bowl

This isn’t 8th grade. Extra motivation is a fantasy in the NFL

Not true at all, not just in the NFL but any sport. That is why you don't see much bulletin board material given to the media anymore. They tell the reporters one thing and talk a different language off camera.

the only thing Tomlin's comments will do is cause New England to probably attempt to run up the score on the Steelers

I play sports as well. And better teams beat more “motivated” teams all the time.

“We kinda wanted the 1 seed and home field advantage but we really wanted it after Mike Tomlin said it was a big game!”

And the real point is Mike Tomlin is as calculated as anyone. He made these comments for his team and to show confidence in them.

There is no universe in which Pitt-Miami is comparable to Pittsburgh-NE.

You watch too many bad sports movies.

how many times do you hear star players, before a game, tell the media that they are going to beat the living crap out of said team? Rub their faces in the dirt? Show the world that they are the inferior team?

Almost never?

There is a reason for that.

There is no reason for Pittsburgh to have confidence against New England. Especially after what we saw last night. Talking in the media wont help them stop Brady. Getting Joe Haden would have helped, but now he is hurt. So their secondary is back to being the joke that they were last season.

Why? Miami has dominated Pitt like New England has dominated the Steelers. I am sure the Patriots are getting a big chuckle off of Tomlin's prediction.

Dumlin just played right into Belicheats hands. The Pats will have a field day with this .LOL, What a clueless tool. Once Ben is gone we will realize one thing. Man is he Dumlin.

A: You like Skip Bayless don't you?

B: You realize "Dumlin" has the second best winning percentage behind Belicheck, right? Please tell me what coaches you'd prefer over Tomlin.

Bulletin Board material is over rated.

You didn’t hear about the Mayweather fight this summer, huh?

Or every boxing match in the last 50 years?

Ever hear of Muhammed Ali?

How about Joe Namath?

Interestingly enough I didn’t hear Tomlin say they were going to “rub their faces in the dirt”.

Enjoy fantasyland!

How many SBs did Caher win without Ben?

LOL what a clueless tool indeed!
