A week ago I posted this and many of you sent out your thoughts and prayers for my family. Thank you all so much as it meant the world to us. Last night my Uncle lost his battle and has moved on to a better place. Rick Washinko played his High School Football in Derry PA. He received a full scholarship to play Football for the University of Pittsburgh and was the back-up Quarterback to Bill Daniels in the early 70's. He loved the University of Pittsburgh and loved his teammates. He was a season ticket holder for life and always loved anyone he thought was a "Pitt Man". He coached high school football in Ohio and will be missed by the many lives he has impacted over the years. I visited him on Saturday and even in poor health all he wanted to talk about was Kenny Pickett and the "Big" PITT win over Miami. Please keep us, your Pitt Family in your thoughts and prayers over the next few days.
