This is not meant to be dramatic, but I've decided to quit my membership here. I didn't go to Pitt, and my fandom is less meaningful to me than it is for some of you---which is to say, it's possible for me to walk away a little more easily than for those of you with "University of Pittsburgh" on your resumes.
I wouldn't take the time to put this here were it not for that fact that, over nearly 17 years of posting off-and-on, it has been really great to learn about Pitt sportball, and many other things, from so many of you. My gratitude for that is meaningful enough that it ought to be made explicit.
