i just got a new car so i got a subscription. my go to is Stern but it's about an hour of content run on a loop so after that i like the following:

80s on 8
CoffeeHouse. dont ask, it's soothing for a little bit but can only take it in small doses
Outlaw Country
Lithium
The Bridge.

I do like the Bruce station but i dont currently see it. i cant stand Phish dating back to my high school days and tom petty is ok.

I havent given any of the sports talk radio a shot but i think i will check out some of the college sports stations.. im over politics across the board so i am not even gonna attempt anything in that genre..

i'll check out classic vinyl. I swear i looked for Bruce but couldnt find him, i'll look again.

Howard interviewed the Chilli Peppers recently and im anxious to listen to it. I love the RHCP and i heard it was a great interview..

I do listen to Stern too but mostly out of habit. Listen on delay and fast forward thru a lot. He’s transformed into one of the best interviewers ever but a large portion of his show has morphed into all of the things he used to trash. Very morning zoo-ish. Parts of his show are unlistenable for an old school Stern fan like me.

it's lost appeal for sure. his interviews are great. most of the rest is meh.. still love the wack packers though but when normal people call in, it kills me. no clue why he takes calls from normal people, its unlistenable.

All the pre recorded crap. The knocks on the door. The impressions used to be very good and timely now they’re just crowbarred into everything (altho the Mel Gibson one still gets me) and not wry good. I could go on but like I said morning zoo.

XM FC by a mile, followed by

Alt nation

and I recently put mad dog radio in my presets for Pat Mcafee. I don’t care if he’s a hoopie. He’s a good yinzer.

and I keep forgetting about ACC network for Packer and Durham. I really need to add it to the 1st page of my presets.

Here are mine - top favorites in bold:

008 - 80s
012 - Pop Rocks
020 - E Street Radio
025 - classic rewind
028 - The Spectrum
033 - First Wave
034 - Lithium
036 - Alt Nation
039 - Hair Nation
043 - Rock the Bells
100 - Howard 100
101 - Howard 101

082 - Mad Dog Radio

088 - NFL Radio
089 - MLB Radio
317 - ACC Radio

In addition, I listen to Pirates, Penguins and Steeler games on Sirius pretty often, as well as other team broadcasts. And I also periodically check out the Progress and Patriot stations from time to time to see how the ultra partisans are thinking. And CNN when a major new event occurs.

Anything Tom Morello such as Radio Comandante or One Man Revolution. Love when his mom joins

bruce isn't a fixture. think that station comes and goes.

chris wilding is the best part of stern amongst the staff stuff. i can't stand benjy. howard hating on gary is still the overall best part of the show and i miss the vicious attacks.

Current presets:

1. Hits1
2. Pop2K
3. The Pulse
4. Alt Nation
5. Coffee House
6. The Spectrum
7. Soul Town
8. The Verge
9. The Message
10. Chill
11. BPM
12. ESPN Radio

Right now, I find myself listening mostly to The Spectrum and Alt Nation. The Verge is an interesting Canadian alt rock channel I found that’s also pretty good. I find Chill to be pretty soothing when driving home at night; same with Coffee House in the morning. I’ll likely switch up the channels once baseball starts and throw MLB Network in there.

First Wave
The Groove
80s at 8
Tom Petty Channel
Dwight Yoakum/Bakersfield Beat
The Beatles Channel
Outlaw Country
Yacht Rock
Billy Joel Channel (which is periodic)

I listen to 103 most, just the comedy talk shows. Then 34, 22, 36, pretty much any channel from the Beatles to metal. Most of the espn shows are unlistenable just cause I hate paying for radio then getting 50% commercials, xm was sold on commercial free, so it just kinda bugs me.

The Springsteen channel was only a temporary channel at first, but that was like 15 years ago. It has been a regular channel for probably at least seven or eight years now. Maybe more.

313 - Rock Bar
20 - Springsteen

39 - Hair Metal
40 - Liquid Metal

Oh yeah, I forgot about the comedy channels; I do tune in to some of those sometimes as well as my music stations. Usually Raw Dog. Though sometimes the channel that features older classic comedians as well. The comedy bits are good to listen to if you are caught in bad traffic, to balance the road rage.

I don’t listen to the sports channels, or any of the other talk channels, by and large.

I don't like audible books just because I am almost maniacally hyperactive switching stations because it keeps me awake when driving. Listening to books, I am afraid I would drift too much into it and start relaxing too much and doze off. Especially long trips when you stay at a different hotel every night, sometimes sleep is compromised.
