Thought it would be nice to have a thread like this.

Va Tech beating UVA at break. Who are we rooting for? We want our UVA win to continue to look impressive but the cavs losing would put us closer to first in the ACC standings, and it would be nice for the conference to get deeper if VT can make a late season push (which I believe they will).

Yep, win on Tuesday and we’ll be tied for 1st with Clemson for sure, UVA as well if they beat NCST on Tuesday.

Then on Saturday we’ll have FSU while Clemson and UVA will be playing UNC and Duke. Let’s take care of business and we’ll be sitting good.

Pitt NET goes up 2 by not playing to 56. VT up 3 to 53. Wake up 8 to 67. Clemson 8th rated ACC team at 64 unchanged after close home loss to Miami who also stayed at 40. UVA down 2 to 15, Duke up 2 to 23, NC State dropped 4 (42) with only an 8 point win at home vs GT and UNC dropped one to 44. Pitt continues to lead ACC with 6 road wins. VT has 0 and only 5 Q1/2 wins to Pitt’s 8. No change to Pitt’s quad record.

Lets see if Miami now jumps up 9 spaces with their win margin and efficiency tonight. Would make it a quad 1 win for Pitt if they go from 39 to 30. In all likelihood, Pitt and Miami will play for the ACC title. Possibly root for a massive jam up with a lot of 15-5 teams. Duke losing is important as they would hold tiebreaker head-to head and count against multi team splits. Pitt lost to Clemson but otherwise would hold edge against other top contenders.

You think so? Chevy did the same things, got lots of boards, was almost automatic under the hoop and even shot an occasional 3 once in awhile lol like Omier did tonight.

They seem very similar to me. Who would you want John on Pitt's team Omier or Chevy?

Yea, the metrics love blowouts, especially against good teams. They did move up 9 spots. Had they won by 1, my guess is they would have moved up 2-3 spots.

Duke knows they get everyone’s best shot but I didn’t expect much right after their true real bonafide rivalry game. Not taking too much away from the Canes however. They’re nightmarishly legit.
