Many places. but not all
Just read where Ohio State will play UCONN, Memhis,Kentucky and UVA this year.
UCONN game is in Conn, UVA (ACC/Big Ten challenge) is in Columbus and Mephis and UK are at nuetral sites.
Take it for what it is worth....but at least they will play a tough away game.
Have not seen any official annoucement from JD on our schedule.

Jamie is great at scheduling for the NCAA Tournament and he now has an AD who has unique knowledge of scheduling for the NCAA Tournament considering he was the guy who helped pick the field for 5 years and was HEAD of the committee last year. However, now, Barnes must balance "scheduling for the tournament" with increasing interest in our basketball program and selling tickets. I wouldn't expect much to change this year but starting with 2016-17, it'll be very very interesting to see if Barnes has any influence on our schedule. Will he ask that Jamie begin a high level home and home series or will he allow Jamie to continue to get out of doing that by saying everybody is afraid to play us at the Pete?

I hope you realize that O$U, and Pitt are not on the same level. When O$U calls, the phone gets answered. Pitt, not so much. It's hard for Pitt to get games vs the elite. They don't want to come here, and they want to schedule a handful of games vs blue bloods, then fill out the ooc schedule with cupcakes. Playing Pitt, NC St., WVU, etc., is high risk, low reward for them.

Uh... to get games against the like of UConn, OSU, etc, you have to be willing to schedule home and away.... and my understanding is that Dixon/Pederson had a requirement of 16 home games... and thus were not willing to give up on even 1 home game against a cupcake so they could get home and aways with more high profile competition.

We will have to see if this changes with Barnes.

Only one of the the high profile games will be played in Columbus & that game is part of the the ACC/Big 10 Challenge. You would have to look at the remaining non-conference games to see if their season ticket holders are getting the quality home non-conference schedule that Pitt fans are yearning for.

You are aware that OSU makes a fair bit more revenue from football than Pitt does, right? They could schedule all their OOC games on the moon and it wouldn't matter.

Last year, OSU had 13 games before big 10 play, and 11 were at home. Maybe they could schedule their games anywhere, but they do not, at least not last year. Marquette was their biggest-name home game.

While Kansas, and Kentucky aren't coming here, there is no reason why we can't get UConn, Cincy, Temple, Memphis, Marquette, Iowa etc. to do home and homes.

I've been complaining about the OOC schedule for awhile and nothing will change unless fans stop buying season tickets . Pad your win total while developing team chemistry is a good stradgey if your winning your conference games, but if Pitt struggles in conference for a couple more seasons combined with the unattractive OOC Pitt might have plenty of seats to sell. Is one attractive home game excluding the Big 10 Challenge early in the season too much to ask for ?
