Obviously without Boyd the offense would look a whole lot different. Other than him though, who does everyone else think has been our most important player thus far? Lot's of guys have really stepped it up this year. Galambos has made some really big plays, Grigsby and Price have been beasts. Whitehead has been one of the best freshman in the ACC, maybe even the country. Obviously Peterman has stepped in and been calm in clutch situations. One guy I really think that his importance is underrated though is Biz. With JJS out for the year we need at least one tackle that is better than serviceable. IMO maybe the best OL recruit we got the past few years, and there were a handful of good ones.

I've made it pretty clear before I'm a huge Maddox fan as well. I think he's one of the best we've had at that position and could be a very high NFL Draft Pick one day.

I'd have to go with Maddox as well. I think he's pretty good regardless but when you factor in the drop off behind him he gets my vote.

Narduzzi said if Price plays the 2nd half against Iowa, they win that game.. That statement jumped out at me..

Maddox. The drop off from him to LPitts is huge, so replacing Maddox with the guy behind LPitts would be terrible, even worse than losing Price.

Peterman is worth considering, but we saw in the second-half of last year that Voytik is not incompetent, but there would definitely be a difference in how well the offense ran, but it wouldn't be a disaster like what our CB situation would look like with LPitts and his backup.

I heard that statement as well. Also heard him say at halftime that Maddox was quote, "our best corner". I don't think it's a coincidence that almost the entire team has taken huge steps forward this year and we have a coach who is constantly throwing praises their way.

Maddox has looked great this year. Only bad play I recall from his was the deep ball from Ga Tech in first half.. He was in good position, just a step behind. Happens to all CBs.. Love how physical he plays for not being the biggest guy. Future is bright for him.. Not loving our backup CB situation.. Haven't seen much from Briggs despite being the talk of spring ball. Would like to see Hamlin commit here, think he would be in two deep as a true freshman, if not competing for that CB opening when Pitts leaves..

I think Whitehead is probably gonna have to move to corner next year. I agree, not much depth there behind Maddox.

I voted for Price as defensive mvp several weeks ago in another thread. I said the exact same thing as Narduzzi said in my post.

Last time we had this thread the most common answer (Voytik) got benched and the 2nd most common answer suffered a season ending injury...

Peterman.
He rarely makes any mistakes, can make all the throws, and can extend the play on 3rd down w/ his legs. Haven't had that luxury since TP.

Peterman.
No James Conner means the offense has to have a QB that can thriwnthe ball downfield.
