Been trying to find an organized Adult Hoops league in the area. Preferably towards the north. I play once a week with guys at work, but would like to play more frequently.

Anybody know of anything?

The SMF Network sponsors an adult league, but it is in Morgantown. 🤷‍♂️

I don't know of any, but I have played PSL in the past and there have been some over 30 players I played against in the league that were pretty good. But it obviously wasn't exclusively over 30 players.

Yea I used to play in PSL but you run into college kids sometimes and its tough. I'm not sure there is an exclusive age range basketball league. There is for soccer and baseball though, so that's weird.

So......no suggestions? Good talk, Russ.
If you're looking for a game with a bunch of average athletes, me and a friend used to play at the Jewish rec center in Sq HIll. Talent level varied from week to week, (occasional guy who couldn't run the court without doubling over) mostly just guys who played high school. Was good for a run, can't remember the cost, but we had to buy a membership. Did this for 3/4 years before I left the area, about 8 years back. I'm assuming it's still running, but who knows after Covid.

Seems like every town has an old man's pickup style "league."

I was playing at the Carnegie Library of Homestead last year, but it sucks now. They basically rent the court out every evening (to PSL or whatever else), and on Saturdays, so the hours you have available to play are really limited. It's like they're charging two different groups of people to use the same facilities.

I played there a lot when I was younger, and it was great at times. But needing to be off the court by 6:30, so some pudgy meatballs in a coed volleyball league can have at it, kind of means you're screwed if you have a job.
