This has been a goal for 20 years. Time to establish it over 7 to 10 game straight win someday soon! Pitt's Players Attitudes since Coach Pat & staff came to Pitt have changed to a No Quit Pitt in 2015-16. Now Pitt Player's Attitude must change upwards again to Win Every Game! It can happen and it will happen and it is happening, just takes some little more time as Coach Pat outlines at the Link To Think! By the way, FYI....Pitt has played against SI Top Rated QBs for the NFL Draft....#1 Watson-Clemson, #3 Trubitsky-UNC, #6 Kaaya-Miam, and #7 Rudolph-OKSU. Ranked WVU & PSU can't say that at all!
Excerpts;
..........Pitt has good reason to set aside that memorable victory. After beating Penn State early this season, the Panthers lost their next two games. “We were still on an emotional high,” Conner said. “We have to stay focused and come with same energy and intensity we came with last game.” The prize now becomes something bigger than one victory. Pitt (6-4, 3-3) is eligible for a bowl — a 13th game next month — that might offer the opportunity to win nine for the first time since 2009. More importantly, for the sake of trying to build a durable program, Pitt can win at least eight games in back-to-back seasons for the first time in six years. That's one goal Pitt was seeking before a series of coaching changes began after the 2010 season. “Now the goal is to see if you can continue going up,” linebackers coach Rob Harley said, “instead of just plateauing in one big game.” After three days of practice, coach Pat Narduzzi was reminded of what has been Pitt's chief character trait in his mind since dipping to 2-2 after losses to Oklahoma State and North Carolina. Pitt is 4-2 in October and November, and Narduzzi thinks he knows the reason. “They haven't really dipped emotionally,” he said. “After a loss, you didn't see them hang their heads, and after a big W, I don't see them walking around with big heads, either. You're coaching the same guys every week.”.......................
Price's impact will be significant because Narduzzi is concerned with Duke redshirt freshman quarterback Daniel Jones, 6-foot-5, 210 pounds. Jones has thrown for 2,277 yards (with nine interceptions) and run for 469. “Daniel Jones is going to be a quarterback we don't want to play against for the next three years,” he said. Pitt should be accustomed to confronting good players. Sports Illustrated listed the top quarterback prospects in next year's NFL Draft, and four played against the Panthers — No. 1 Deshaun Watson of Clemson, No. 3 Mitch Trubisky of North Carolina, No. 6 Brad Kaaya of Miami and No. 7 Mason Rudolph of Oklahoma State............“I think we've done a lot of good things this year against a lot of good teams,” Narduzzi said.
.................
Pitt has defeated Clemson and Penn State, Nos. 4 and 8 in the College Football Playoff rankings, and lost by a touchdown at No. 11 Oklahoma State. Most games have been close — three of Pitt's four losses have been decided by a total of 11 points — and Narduzzi expects more of that against Duke.“Stay to the end,” he said. “We are this far away from winning just about every game,” he said, making a small space between his thumb and forefinger...............
