Panthers Need This Type Of Game!

Miami is ready and focused and Pitt has to deal with it coming out flat.

QB Peterman not at his best letting the Interception bother him, must shake it off, or Chad comes in the Second Half, but Peterman can settle down.

Chad should run a few series just to shake off part of Miami's Defense. If Peterman still looks bad in making tad off throws, Chad has to be put in before it becomes too late. A real test for Coach Pat & Staff.

Pitt Defense will need a Turnover or Special Teams TD to get back in the game?

Pitt still runs the ball but needs 2 TDs and Ball Controll will not be there after the 3rd Quarter if Pitt is not within one score!

This is exactly what the Panthers needed, behind by 20, need to come back against better Talent!

Now we really see if Coach Pat & Staff can make great Half Time Adjustments! Pitt needs them!

Pitt's defense is absolutely pathetic today. The game would be much closer if the refs didn't give Miami a free TD, but nonetheless this is just as bad or worse than any of our defensive performances last season.

You are correct Pitt fans have seen nothing but Upward Mediocrity since 1990, and I have no problem with your criticisms.

Yet, this year all year long Coach Narduzzi has improved this Team even while losing to Iowa, UNC, ND and now behind in MiamI? All those Team have way more Talent!

So right now, i do want to see how Coach Pat & Staff will make Half Time Adjustments and change the game or lose it?

Especially how they handle the Peterman bad throws and poor execution right now. If he Peterman does not improve early in the 3rd I want to see if coach Pat & Chaney pulls him for Chad, unlike what Wannsetedt did in Oregon State Bowl Game?

I also want to see if the Panthers improve now down so big at the Half! To me, this is the test they needed all year long after they came together the last 2 games.

I expected losses to UNC & ND but they played ok but were not executing either. Now they did execute the last two games, so lets see how they handle it!

I see it as one more test towards excellence and a big tests for Narduzzi & Staff!

Disagree, it is critical Pitt QB is not on, the Wideouts have been open downfield Peterman is missing and off big time.

Defense not getting to Miami QB that is spot on and that is on them but Miami is playing very good as well.

Miami is playing and executing, Pitt has had the plays to make but the Players especially QB is missing them, and when they had big runs they had penalties?

This is the first game all year that Pitt actually has played badly and Miami is tough to beat anytime even under an interim coach.

So, now I want to see a Second Half correction or how much more these coaches have to do to improve the Panthers!

Correct, that is another problem. The refs are no doubt a complete joke. But after every horrible call made, the defense just falls apart. No excuse for officiating being this bad, but certainly not circumstances that are impossible to overcome either.

The Defense has been able to stop Miami 2 Downs but keep giving up the Third Down for New First Downs.

Credit goes to Miami OL and QB as far as I am concern. One can't take away good FB Playing. Miami gets the credit, Pitt Defense not able to overcome it!

Pitt needs fast starts to win, that is clear, but Miami is just too talented and Coaches had them ready. Pitt Time of Possession is smallest in all games I think!
