We can revisit this concept in a year or two but let this sink in for a moment- @Sean Miller Fan agrees with you and he's ALWAYS wrong.
The way the roster stands today, the freshmen will most likely be used like Guillermo was this past season. Also like GDG, Lowe and Carrington both need to get much stronger to be very effective.
I don’t think it’s going out on a limb with all the info we have now to say Carrington won’t contribute much next year. He’s too young and too slight. I haven’t mentioned Lowe and PG’s generally can find a spot to play early, even if for 10-15 minutes.
I’ll admit I’ve never even seen highlights of Lowe, though.
This has been spoken about ad nauseum on this board. He quit the team this year when he realized he wasn’t getting his spot back and disguised it as mental health issues. That’s a loser mentality. I was sympathetic to his possible issues until he released he was entering the portal the same day Pitt was in the NCAA tournament…. Then it was clear he had an agenda.
Then there’s the incident in the Brush parking lot with the mentally challenged kid. He’s not a good person.
I really don’t want to rehash all these things again. Hopefully he gets his life together and turns things around. But as of right now, he won’t make a dime off playing basketball after college, overseas obviously being his only option and hopefully he matures finally being away from his comfort zone. Because his comfort zone sucks
Lowe needs to get much stronger as well for his current game to translate imo. Ideally, they both get those 10 minutes so they can take on bigger roles as sophomores.
Lowe is going to be in the rotation. For Carrington, I see Santos-type minutes as in some DNP's, some 5 minutes here and there

He has that entitlement mentality that we so love. And he has no reason to believe he is entitled to anything, both in terms of hoops and with his obvious character flaws. He hasn't earned the right to anything. He needs to grow up and I'm glad he's not a distraction any longer. That's all he was at Pitt.
There was a video circulating of him beating up a mentally challenged kid in the Brush parking lot during his recruitment. It’s why a lot of people backed off. It was on Twitter for like 30 mins then scrubbed off forever but as the kids say, screenshots never die

Was he jailed for that offense? If not, why not? If he did that, I'm sure he's done other heinous acts against others as well that we'll never hear about. The kid needs some mental health care and to be in jail for a while. Just glad he's not at Pitt any longer.

He was discouraged from shooting his mid-range floater and limited to exercises and tasks strictly for big men. Adams complained to McFadden throughout the season that there was no way he could play so restricted for four years. McFadden told The Oklahoman he had to fly to Pitt several times during Adams' one season there to put his mind at ease.
And all these years later in the NBA, he is doing the same things he was doing at Pitt as a big man. Maybe he should take back most of these idiotic comments, but knowing how arrogant he seemed I wouldn’t count on it
