Passing and stopping the Pass

do we even know that we can stop the run? PSU was forced to pass since they were down big early; Barkley may have had a big day otherwise. I don't have a lot of confidence in stopping GaTech. I'm thinking 400 yards rushing.

We didn't shut down GT last year. They rolled up close to 400 on the ground in Atlanta against us. Of course Navy went over 400 on the ground against us in the bowl game.

So...other than stopping the run and the pass, this defense is playing pretty well.

Matt House, don't you know that we LOVED you when you were here? lol

Well honestly we didn't need to pass if we could have just stopped the pass to be honest

I don't know? I don't like the idea of passing only if you need to, I want a team that passes because they want to, because they are good at it. Suppose, UNC had scored with 1:00 left, instead of 0:02, would we be able to MOVE QUICKLY to get into FG range with our offensive capabilities/system? The idea of not being able to pass being OK for some is disturbing IMO.

in crunch time, our offense is not coming through. 2 weeks in a row, we've had our chance to salt the game away. we failed. zero passing yards in the 4th quarter. but don't get me wrong, the defense by pat narduzzi is a MUCH bigger problem.

our next to last offensive drive with the chance to put them away, 1st down run JC for 1 yard. 2nd down run JC for another yard. 3rd down throw a 1 yard pass to JC for very little gain. in 3 plays we gained about 3 yards. its clearly evident, late in games, jc is not the player he once was. his conditioning is not there. its understandable why. coaches need to make adjustments.

on offense, henderson is our best wr, rb, punt returner, kick returner and best player on the team.

on defense, whitehead was better as a freshman compared to this season. last year he was an impact player, not this year. nobody wants to say it on this board, but its true.

football is a 60 minute game. Pat Naruduzzi's teams have had very few games of a consistent 60 minutes of football.

If we have I better QB, I'd play him, even then, who does he throw to? We used to be WR U, now we have next to nothing there. Whatever happened to that Challingsworth, at least he had some experience?
