I would not be surprised if that’s not what he’s grooming himself to do. He has a ton of wrestling connections because of Mark Madden, he was a guest panelist for Wrestlemania this year and he has the kind of artificial emotion in his voice that Vince McMahon loves.

More importantly, he’s horrible at this and should go away quickly.

Eh, he has a solid following, and for a Hoopie I don’t mind him. He can be funny. That said I can definitely see how people can think he tries too hard/is annoying.

Now that I thought he was funny in. He was comfortable with it and it was natural and his voice seemed to fit right in. Grant it there was a lot of editing too. Last night, he was forcing it, he was loud, his voice sucked/didn't fit and it was live so no benefit of editing.

He missed two field goals during the 13-9 debacle and cost WVU a shot at the National Championship. For that, he will always have my respect.

I see him as someone who mostly just wants to be funny more than he actually is funny. Like, he has the personality and drive for it, but I'm not sure if the wit is there. If it is, he probably needs a better medium to serve it up for him. I'm not sure that he would have many fans if he was just a regular guy. A lot of times, he seems to get laughs in the same way that a musician gets laughs when he tells stories on stage in between songs, or in the same way you would laugh at your boss' joke at work.
