Pay side indicating Dunn Martin to Pitt?

It’s basically zero risk as a grad transfer. We could use a back up true PG , he was pretty productive in a decent league . He looked like a pretty good player whenever I watched him play.
If you tell him not to shoot anything other than free throws

Whatever. We are just taking guys to fill out a roster. We could do worse but he's going to average 3-4 PPG off the bench for a really really bad team.

You guys never heard his name before today and you are questioning the move. Sounds about right.
He played for Duquesne so most here have at least heard of him. He averaged 10 for a bad team in a much lesser league. You do the math. He's simply a guy to fill out a roster because we cant get anyone better. As I said, we could have done worse but we don't win any extra games because of this signing. We are still a 3-4 win team at the moment and time is quickly running out to improve upon that.

dude you're bumming me out!🥲

You people are brutal
Yes, TDM is short.
But he can fill it up and has deep range.
Forced to play PG this year when Carry transferred; really a 2G

The 2 most important questions....
1) Does Champ Return?
2) Do we bring in 2 quality bigs?

Whether this TDM comes or not doesn’t move the needle in either direction.
Do we bring in 2 quality bigs?

Where are these 2 quality bigs going to come from? 2 bigs, maybe. Quality bigs? That ship has sailed.

People were posting here all year about how Duquesne would beat us. If that’s true, why wouldn’t we want their starting point guard?
Because he wasn’t their starting PG until sincere quit and maceo took the leave of absence. He’s a 5’8 scoring PG who should drop down a level

I’m not disagreeing he can play for a really bad team. I’m saying we shouldn’t be adding pieces to play for a really bad team. It isn’t august
I mean, yea, there would have been guys like this available in a few months but its to the point where we are getting desperate. Nobody wants to play for Capel for some reason. I don't understand it. Seems like a guy that players would line up to play for. Do you have any opinion on this?

I have no opinions on this other than they shouldn’t add TDM unless we get to august and he’s still available.

Where are these 2 quality boys going to come from? 2 boys, maybe. Quality bigs? That ship has sailed.
Is there even anyone left we can realiatically get who is an upgrade from Brown or Chukwuka? Somehow, we may be replacing those guys with even worse players.

I’ll take him…. In the immortal words of Delta Tau Chi in the movie Animal House….. “We need the dudes!”

We have 4 solid guards for next year. Femi will start. Nike probably starts too and Horton is a former starter who will at least play big minutes. Then the new transfer who looks solid.

Not many guards are going to want to mess with this fray

So you’d take a kid who wasn’t happy playing behind Sincere Carry who is better than our current PG to play 2-3 mins every 5 games? Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen

You are right. Every coach's most important goal should to minimize talent in all 13 spots 🙄.
