McSorley doesn't impress me at all. He is another very average run of the mill small QBs who can run. Those QBs have given Pitt issues at times

I was surprised how easy at times Kent State could move the ball on them at times for playing 3 different quarterbacks. There were a ton of running lanes. Penalties and the nits blitzing almost every play killed many of their drives.

Penn State offense will end up killing their defense. They will give the other team a ton of offensive possessions. They can't possess the ball on offense. It's either score or give it up quickly.

I saw most of the 2nd half after getting back from the game. The Nits certainly did not look dominate over a bad Kent State team. Remover a few penalties and turnovers and it would have been a much closer final score.

Keep in mind Kent state was ranked 3 to.last in the nation on offense. They got nearly 300 yards and not garbage time yards either

Seriously, with this OL talent and stable of running backs and how many yards per rush today? And your questioning Penn States coaching? This was Villanova and these were to be strong points. Very disappointing. Well, its week one, a lot of improvement can be made by next week.

Not sold on Franklin as a big time coach, but don't see the big Pitt advantage in coaching many here see. Pitt won 8 games last year. Lost 4 of final 6. Lucky to beat two poor teams in Syracuse and Georgia Tech. Looked woefully unprepared for bowl game. Neither team very impressive in openers today. Maybe Narduzzi is far better, but he still has to prove it to me.
I think next week's game will be won by double figures, but have no clue which team will win. A crazy play or a turnover will give one team the lead and early momentum. And that could be the ballgame.

Both teams looked pretty bland to me. Nobody being honest would rank either in the top 35 or 40 teams after this weekend. Either team could win it next week or either team could lose it. It's not the "big" game it was way back when.

21 points is a blowout. The defense was super. What do want? 80-0? Pitt once beat Delaware 62-0, finished the season 6-7. A whole lot Pitt gained in that one.
