We are very close to being 5-0! Keep moving and evolving but do not make wholesale changes. Keep working hard and see where this season goes!

We are also close to being 2-3 with a win over a tomato can and a Syracuse team who is a 3.5 point underdog to Liberty. Changes must be made to the offensive side of the ball.

I appreciate the glass half full people, because sometimes it gives me hope. But, we have a giant sample size of Narduzzi sucking the fun out of the sport for me.

That’s where I’m at. 3 years ago +/- a year I was defending saying he needs time. But the sample size is now big enough.

And this myth about the next class - it’s right about on par with all others when you look at the avg star rating.

An idea I like better is taking care of business and not letting mediocre teams hit us in the mouth, so that we don't have to come up with make believe records that we might have if a few plays had gone differently. Honestly, if they don't call that pick 6 back on a roughing the passer call that had no effect on the play, NC State might have beat us by 20.

You can't count close losses as wins and close wins as wins.

Close games are the Soupe du jour ! Being beaten by 3 scores is not what has occurred

Correct. Shoulda, woulda, coulda means you didn't

Pitt is 3-2 going into the teeth of their schedule. It's not a good place to be.

In all honesty I could deal with the record if I saw improvement. But I don't. As a team on a whole I see a highly undisciplined team who talks a great game but only the DLine walks the walk.

On Offense:
I see a senior QB who has failed to develop since he's been here. I see WRs who drop too many catchable balls. TEs who we are better off eliminating the position and putting another O Lineman in there. I see a once formidable run game with strong line and RBs become the problem. Finally I see an O coordinator not have a real game plan.

On Defense:
Yes the DLine is fabulous and firing on all cylinders. The issue is when that is the only strong point it can be schemed out of the equation like NC State did. When was the last good Linebacker we had here? As far as DBacks go, they are only as good as the DLine is. When the line is killing the QB and only give them 3 seconds they look great. When a QB has 5 seconds they look like scrubs.

Special teams:

Do I even need to go here? Give me a Conor Lee who doesn't have the leg strength but is totally clutch over this nonsense we put out there now.

Unfortunately this is the reality of it, all mindless optimism aside. I don’t see the turnaround coming here. Simply don’t have the chess pieces to make any strong moves.

Agree. By way of analogy, Ryan Leaf had a much stronger arm and could throw the ball a lot further than Joe Montana. Who would you rather have at QB?

Placekicking, like golf, is about consistency. As a coach you need to know what you can expect statistically when you send your guy out there. It can't be a wing and a prayer.

According to Narduzzi, Kessman has been working with a sports shrink he has on staff for a long time. That can't be a good sign.
