Mike's too busy consulting with college coaches on which high school players are going to be successful in college to write his dribble. At least, that's what I read here this week...
For the life of me, and this is not specific to Jurkovich, I can't understand how these kids would want to play for Brian Kelly. I have said that about 30 times on this board but he seems like one of the most unlikable human beings in the world.
I get the Notre Dame draw to some kids but man is he a jack ass. I could never imagine playing for that guy.
Saban is more likeable, and a much better coach than that red faced troll.just like nick saban, he isn't likable at all
for whatever reason some guys get away with being an asshole

True but Saban wins National Titles more than most people change brakes on their car.
So, you don't have any specifics to back up your claim?
my point is people talk about not wanting to play for a coach based on their likability, yet there is nothing likable about saban and that includes before he ever won a title
how does a guy that can barely smile win over a recruits mom in her living room?
You are foolish if that's all you have to go on. A quote from a PSU coach from three (3) years ago. Foolish is too nice. Not specifically from the fans. It came from the PSU coaches and was reported in the Trib after Bowers and Givens flipped before signing day. Link below. This was long discussed on this board awhile ago, please do some research before jumping down someone's throat.

LOL you are so bitter about Mr. White not writing about you or your kid
You sound like a troll. Buddy.Hey buddy, you asked for specifics behind my statement that Narduzzi has been accused of negative recruiting twice. I provided a basis for two separate occasions - PSU's coaching staff and now WPIAL QB recruit Phil Jurkovec.
Don't get your panties in a bunch and cry about it. You sound uneducated.
Actually, yes - yes you are and badby is 100% correct. Yes, it is true that most guys thing they are better - most competitors do, HOWEVER - and its been printed time and again with quotes from kids that SPECIFICALLY say they are looking at the depth chart and have schools listed because of that - they think they can play early. Hell, there are kids that decommit just because they recruited more kids at their position. You are dead wrong on this one.Actual no I am not most of these guys believe they are better than the next, that is why the same teams bring in most of the 4 and 5 star guys every year at the same position.

For the last 2 years we have been hearing that Jurko is great kid. No question that he is a high potential recruit coveted by Pitt. To be perfectly clear, he never stated that Coach Narduzzi personally used negative recruiting tactics. Apparently, he just implicated the entire University. Someone probably mentioned to him that Notre Dame is of French Origin, not Irish, and this threatened his TJ reverie.
It would seem that a classy, great kid who is being offered a scholarship worth about a hundred grand, and many additional benefits, especially from his home town university, would refrain from bad mouthing locals offering gifts.
Excepting some very egregious behavior from those recruiters, an intelligent kid would say things like: "Yeah, I heard some negative things" or "It's all a part of the recruiting business".
But of course, the opposite is de rigueur for prima donnas.
His adoration seems to match my disdain for Kelly.
I'm glad he's not going to be a Panther.
I call BS on this... we are all sour (me included) that that hometown STUD went somewhere else. Hopefully kid has a great career and loses to PITT might end up realizing the quality here at PITT. Absolutely would take this kid as a transfer...anyone saying otherwise isn't trying to win games. Two words "home sick" and he would be forgiven.
H2P
This has nothing to do with Mike White. It's about your idiotic thought that a college coach should be taking advice from a high school sports reporter. Tell that to any college coach and a honest reaction would be to laugh at you.
If a high school sports reporter could add value to a college coaching staff don't you think he would be doing something in college football to make a real living?
Yeah, don't bother answering; I'm sure won't get it.
