The Trib is saying that Keslar lost by a pinfall, which I understand to mean that his shoulders were held to the mat for a count of three. Are 6 points only given for a pinfall but a wrestler could conceivably escape from a pin and the match could continue? I always thought that 6 points were given for a pin, so pinfall is new terminology for me.

They all mean the same thing. To get pinned, lose by fall or pinfall. All mean the same thing. You got decked
