Q: Do you think Pitt is a NCAA Tournament team?

(paraphrasing)
Pitino: I do. Any team with a winning conference record in a conference as tough as the ACC is a tournament team.

So there's that. Hopefully the committee looks at it like he does.

Pitt is still in the tournament as of now despite the terrible loss last night. Just gotta bounce back and beat Duke at home on Senior Day on Sunday. It still will take an epic collapse for Pitt not to get in the tournament. And if it does happen again like last season when they collapsed Jamie Dixon's job security should really start coming into question. There will just be no excuses what so ever at this point for Pitt to not at the very least get in the field of 65 NONE at all!!!!

It was a disappointing loss, but how is losing to the #11 team a "terrible" loss? Before the game, everyone expected to lose, said if we lose it wouldn't be terrible, and now it's terrible after we do? I don't get that.

Louisville was something right 11 or 13 at the end of the game - making a lot of tough shots. Pitt hung with the #11 team in the national until the last minute. How is that a terrible lose?

The team played hard and they stayed in the game until the end.
Overall it was a good effort compared to other outings.
The only "red flag" is the inability to execute basics missing layups, bunnies, and ft's. That cost us at least a dozen points so we get half of those we win!
We missed some easy ones!
UL got hot at the end of the game!
Game over!
Luther a bright spot!

I agree with the free throws - really cost Pitt.

However to say easy layups and bunnies is not accurate - these shots are contested - there are fouls not called - contact below the waste - and alot of banging. These are big, strong, athletic men - when there is contact it moves people.

Sure they are from close range - but easy layups and bunnies - I think not.

It was NOT a "terrible loss". A much more talented team beat us, after slugging it out for 35 minutes. We played hard, defended MUCH better for most of the game, scrapped for loose balls and never quit. Best performance of the season against a Top 10 team.

We're probably in agreement and everyone see's different things in a game. Its tough inside but the tough big guys under the hoop find a way to score which is what UL did.
It appreared to me that our guys were getting banged around more than the UL guys and missing the close ones.
UL has a big, deep, talented team with a good coach "bang her on the table" Rick Pitino.

I think Pitt gets in but hard to be excited with this outfit regardless. Seriously, what will this collection of knuckleheads accomplish? Against better competition they find a new way to lose every game. On any given night, the defense, the offense, FT shooting ,rebounding or ball handling/smarts won't be there and that will spell a loss. They're very inconsistent. For the first time in eons last night they made several steals and I think they botched just about every offensive opportunity/fast break after a steal and in several cases gave the ball right back with a stupid TO.

At this point in the season, every loss can be terrible.....as well as every win can be huge. I am happy to see some grit and toughness as of late, much different than how last year went. On the bright side, there are 3 regular season games left.....Unfortunately, there are 3 regular season games left. Having a winning record in the ACC is not guaranteed, hopefully they get there!

I think we may be worst fast break team in the country. It's amazing to me how often they make poor decisions in 3 on 1 and 3 on 2 situations. And then we do a great job on one and our star of the game, having the game of his life, drops a pass right in his hands. Really felt for him on that, you know thats a play he'll have nightmares about.
