Pitt’s “change” to recruiting high school players

I believe that it is fair to scratch your head and ask why the volume and pedigree of visits this June have decreased significantly as opposed to other years. The answer is likely a combination of the following:

1 - NIL
2 - Highly rated guys will verbally commit as a placeholder, and still behave as free agents to secure the best situation ($ and opportunity)
3 - NIL
4 - A very new Pitt offensive coaching staff. Pitt will need a different type of player to fit into the offense. Perhaps the coaches know who they want, there is mutual interest, and they happen to not be highly rated, but perfect for the type of offense that Pitt will run.
5 - NIL
6 - Duzz has traditionally found players undeservingly undervalued by ranking services.
