I wouldn’t touch this one as per SMf, we will never beat Clemson again. But we need to to salvage early season momentum, first NET ranking tomorrow, and tourney hopes. A win here would go a long way.

Pitt 74

Who scheduled this 2:00 on an NFL Sunday in an NFL city. That has to impact the crowd a bit

I mean the ACC schedules it with coordination from ESPN so both play a part. However, when it was decided that ACCN absolutely needed to have games at 2PM and 4PM today, Pitt should have told them to put them at 4. It wouldn't have helped attendance but at least people would have watched it on TV.

Well ..... Lil Bub isn't turning pro

I see some say he could be a high draft pick based on potential. He hasn't shown that potential yet against top level competition. Maybe he'll mature as the season goes along and start playing up to his hype.

We need to stop sagging off the 3 point line .
Hall isn’t going to beat Pitt on his own

That's kinda his job to replace that.

If this team isn't at least on the bubble, he very well may find himself in some trouble.
Of course it is -
It’s why Ish is on the team , and bub and Lowe

We just aren’t good enough especially in the post

There's literally no chance of that happening with the way the entire Dior Johnson situation went down who was our projected starting point guard.

That's all on Pitt for being stupid and handling it like a non competitive sports university would of handled it and waiting until the very last minute possible to boot the kid from college and make a ruling. Any other legit sports University would have at least allowed Capel to recruit another guard to replace him months in advance

Just like with Stallings, Pitt "pitted" the situation. They screwed Capel over and Dior with the entire timing of the situation.

That's 100% on Capel for 1) not cutting him loose last year, and 2) taking a chance on a guy like Dior.

Just saying, there are probably reasons the University handled the situation the way they did. Some of those might have to do with Capel.

Taking a chance is fine .
Cutting bait after the charges and suspension should have happened absolutely

Nope. Pitt is ultimately responsible for themselves. Either the AD or the Coach.
Incorrect
Tv sets the times

You think the fact that every game time and date for the whole season , including road games - is set months ago-
Is a function of coaches and ad’s mapping out master schedules ?!?
Get the eff out of here !
Nobody can be that willfully ignorant about how schedules works

For instance - you think pitt chose to play a home game in Dublin against Wisconsin in the future ?

That you don’t think Pitt is not ultimately responsible for Pitt is mind-blowing. What a crazy conspiracy theory.

Pitt doesn’t set game and start times
TV does
That’s not a conspiracy - it’s how sports work .
Welcome to reality of the past 20 years.

I don't understand that he thinks Pitt was told they have to play Wisconsin in Ireland or else. Pitt could have kept that game at home. No one forced them. They were made a financial offer to move the game and they felt it was worth it.

Now let Me know how the basketball game times and dates are determined ?
Are they individual school determined ?

BYU will never be scheduled on a Sunday, even for an NCAA tournament game. I think that’s all one needs to know about whether or not a school has ultimate responsibility for its schedule.

No they aren't. Schools can put in requests though and as long as its reasonable, they will honor it. If Pitt requested to play Saturday or at 4 on Sunday due to the Steelers, I doubt ESPN/ACC says no. That helps ESPN and brings more viewers

They and Campbell sued the ncaa - who agreed if a school has a written policy

What is the Sunday play policy, or "BYU rule"?
NCAA rules state that if a university competing in an NCAA championship has a written policy against competition on a particular day for religious reasons, the championship schedule must be adjusted to accommodate that institution.* Brigham Young University has a written policy against Sunday play, and therefore will have schedules adjusted to play on Saturday or Monday, even if it involves changing televised or otherwise broadcast events.
