WR: *Turner, Barden or Wayne
WR: Mack or Jacques-Louis
TE: Krull, Moraga or Wright
LT: Goncalves, Vann Lynn
LG: Zubovic
C: Kradel, Drexel
RG: Huoy
RT: Warren, Taylor

DE: Alexandre, Hayes

OLB: Bright, Kamara

Fill in for both guard spots and safety spots. Not sure about those two.

i'd guess the line will be Goncalves-Kradel-Drexel-Zub-Warren. You could flip Kradel and Zubs as both played mainly at RG, but with Kradel being more experienced, I think they will flip him to the blind side.

Don't forget Mathis at CB

Definitely need one of those backs to step up, even if it’s Malik Newton. I like a receiving core of Addison/Mack/Jacques-Louis. How much the line improves will determine how much success the offense has in 2021, in my opinion.

On the defensive side of the ball, I was thinking Kancey would start over Danielson. Regardless, we have some good depth down there. Linebackers seem about right. My biggest worry is the secondary; that’ll be a huge question mark with a lot of inexperience back there. Hopefully the returning guys we do have (Mathis, Williams, Woods) at CB step up.

I think Danielson will continue to "start" because he is the preferred option on early downs and Kancey is the better pass rusher. They will split time regardless.

You expect Beville to transfer? Also, Camp expected back at DT. Mathis will be back. Hargrove potentially back too.

Also, one other thing I forgot to mention is the fact that it’s disappointing to see Kyi Wright at 3rd string TE. I’m not arguing against it (that seems about right), but I was hoping he could become a difference maker at TE. I’m still holding out hope for him, though. Regardless, we need someone to become a reliable option there.

It’s a little underwhelming that we haven’t had success recruiting there either, considering immediate playing time could very well be a realistic selling point.

Drexel is the Center for now. He backed up Morrisey this year and despite some of his physical limitations, he appears to have some love from the staff. Zubovic did some work there last spring, too. I personally thought that Zubovic was one of the better interior pass blockers when he got to play so I would expect him to move into a starting spot. I assume every position will be up for grabs. Nobody really stood out so much that they're a lock.

Whipple is completely misusing him. Zero role in this offense for his skill set. Looks like he made a mistake committing to play in this offense.

Respect your opinion on the OL. What are your thoughts on Warren? He can't possibly stay at LT can he? Would you move him to RT or to a G position? Also Houy. He seems overmatched at Tackle and I don't see him as a good option at G.

I thought Warren did a decent job all things considered. Pass blocking seemed to be better. He wasn't great moving laterally on the run. Houy is a kid that I've been rooting for but he's just not getting it done. He was actually supposed to come in and play guard here so maybe he does bump over. For as bad as the line looked at times, I thought the pass blocking from the tackles was much improved. Run blocking was mess all season and I think Morrisey was getting beaten pretty badly and that caused a lot of problems. Like I said in another post, his best games came at the end of the season. He can't block a big DL-man. Unless he becomes a long-snapper, I don't see him on an NFL roster.

I had the same thought on Warren. He isn’t a LT. Dude gets turnstiled there. Houy seems like he has the athleticism but needs to get stronger.

AJ Davis - I like the guy, but he just doesn’t have the speed or quickness to be the running threat we need. If he sees any significant playing time next season, I’ll be shocked - or should I say I’ll continue to be shocked...

Go Pitt.

Yes. That was my thought exactly. Similar to Dennis this year. He wasn't the "starter" but saw a lot of reps.

Yeah I was hoping for a lot more out of Wright this year. Especially when Krull went down. We'll see. He is still adapting to a new position.

But why was Beville in for that last play before halftime of the GT game? If the sack didn’t happen, was there to be a play for a strong arm? Probably reading too much into it but I think they like Davis’ strong arm.

Agreed, As I have said before, I really dislike this offense, but it is easy to see that a TE could have a great career in this offense, and be a game changer every week.
Indeed, especially since this is supposed to be a “modern offense” and NFL tight ends are having unprecedented success under similar concepts.

I still wish Charles Reeves worked out at Pitt. He’s bounced around at a few places and will be enrolling at D2 West Liberty in the spring. What could’ve been...

I'm glad that's all settled, I would hate to wait till next fall to find out who Pitts starting lineup is and their backups, thanks

How old is he now 30?
