My number was 7.5 so was a little off. Think this closes a tad lower.

They beat Miami at Miami. And scored several touchdowns. Go figure a triple option team transitioning to new offense with triple option players.

If that is the case why in the hell is Pitt nearly 10 point favorites over them? On the road no less?

Maybe they are starting to put it together a little on offense? Teams in the past have usually taken a full season to adjust when dumping the triple option, recruiting a different type of offensive lineman tends to be a necessity.

They’ve been so bad most of this season with a loss to the Citadel being among the worst performances. Not sure if the Miami game was a fluke or a sign they’re starting to improve and grow more confidence with the new offense.

Either way I think the number is slightly high.

Didn’t GT have a defensive TD and a special teams TD?

They also lost to Temple 24-2....

Having said that Pitt can’t drop 6 passes or fumble or throw picks.

Good god how bad must Georgia Tech be

GT is one of the worst ACC teams, maybe the worst since we joined the league. Its a triple option team transitioning to the spread. They wont score 20 against us and probably wont score 10. Their O only scored 7 vs Miami.

Pitt's offense may make it close but, honestly, I'd pick Pitt like 30-10.

Bad enough almost losing to Delaware.

We are Pitt, anything can happen, and long long long time ago I prepared myself for anything can happen. In college football anything can happen. Tennessee drops first two game of the year to Georgia State and BYU. Anything can happen.
I would love to see a blowout and the offense makeup for Miami.

If Pitt scores 30, they better do it in the first half. They don't score in the second half and never make halftime adjustments. Then they can hold on for dear life in the second half.

Take GT and the 9 points. The Pitt offense may have a difficult time scoring in double digits in any given game.

Bottom line is GT beat Miami who we just looked awful against.

When’s the last time we beat anybody by 10+ on the road?

I would not touch Pitt in this game with a ten foot pole.
Pitt - 34 Wake Forest - 13 last year.

But yeah, having won 20-10 over Ohio and that Delaware game at home, as well as letting possibly the next worse ACC team nearly come back this year doesn’t necessarily inspire confidence in terms of covering a 2 possession spread.

30 points?
Would kicking 10 field goals in a game be a Pitt/NCAA record?

Don't get me wrong...Pitt offense leaves a lot to be desired, but scoring 10 against GT and scoring 10 vs a back up against the wall Miami team is two completely different scenarios.
