Recruiting Article Pitt adds talent, experience in new recruiting class

This is great . Any idea of where this class lands relative to the ACC? Seems like 4 top 500 freshmen and 4 top 50 transfers is really good for PItt — but have no context for how that compares to the programs PItt has to compete with.

Would love a similar analysis of the most recent and I presume soon to be announced volleyball class.

The ACC is just so tough because the southern schools can collect a ton more talent because that's where the talent is. Clemson has, like 10+ top 500 kids. Same with Miami, Louisville and Florida State.

But just looking through Perfect Game, Pitt has a similar number of top 500 kids to Wake Forest, NC State, Notre Dame and Virginia, and has more than Boston College and Virginia Tech. Slightly less than Duke, North Carolina, Georgia Tech. So it's a class that's probably in the middle to low middle tier of the ACC...which is understating how much of an achievement that is for a northern school recruiting in the ACC.

There were 8 ACC classes in the top 25 rankings and Pitt wasn’t one of them, so it’s 9th at best haha. The ACC is pretty ridiculous in baseball.
