Pitt average attendance 54,710

Well, it's an average. There were 100,000 WVU fans at the opener and then 35,000 fans at the rest of games. Those 35,000 were still 75% WVU fans, 10 % Yinzers in Steelers jerseys, 10% PSU fans in PSU gear, and 5% Pitt fans.
The ten percent in Steelers jerseys is actually spot on. Maybe more.

Not only is attendance doing much better but Panther fans are traveling so much better too. There were as many Pitt fans as Miami fans and the bowl and acc championship games last year were beautiful. Panther nation is traveling!

I’d love to see the turnstile count as well. From start to finish, this appeared to be the best for Pitt in years.

Pretty … pretty …. Good

See, you win the ACC Championship and beat WVU and things go your way!

H2P
that number means the average attendance for every game that was not WVU was around 52,058 { ((54,710 x 7) - 70,622) / 6. }..hahahaha. ya still going with that average?

tickets sold <> attendance

Total butts in the seats pretty much the same as every other year a wvu or psu or notre dame on the schedule...

You could certainly make the argument that although it seemed like a down year for some reason, compared to last year, that this was PN's finest coaching year. Keeping this team together like he did when it would have been easy to fold was impressive.
How anyone could argue this was a great coaching job blows my mind

I didn't like things a month and a half ago, but many of us thought that the last half of the season would be very very ugly. Well, it wasn't pretty, but they wound up exceeding my expectations. Not sure how anyone can disagree with that. Wins are wins, and PN wound up with more than any of us thought he would.

Look, PN has his faults. He is without question a bad recruiter, and it's magnified by the fact that he's got guys within 3 hours on either side of him who are a lot better at it than he is. He's not a genius by any stretch. But the kids respond to him and somehow wind up overachieving. He makes quirky decisions at times, but he's not operating with a full deck of talent, either.

Absolutely agree. It’s clear they teach football well
