Another ridiculous comeback tonight against the top 10-ish Hoopies.
Down 9-5 in the bottom of the 9th, hit batter, walk, home run, single, single, single, fielders choice to score a run, Hoopies bring the right fielder in to put five guys in the infield and the Pitt batter hits the ball right to the guy, he boots the grounder and the winning run scores.

I figured that was likely the case and tomorrow could be ugly, especially since I think I heard during the broadcast that Duke was the highest scoring team in the ACC and Louisville was 2nd.
I threw a few bucks on over 13.5 tonight just for chuckles. 12-1 Duke win incoming.
Well we've already done our part and got the one.
Of course it could have been a lot more than that.
By the way, you can see the kind of respect that we get from some of the other ACC teams when Louisville opened the tournament against us last night by throwing a bullpen game, and now today Duke is opening their ACC tournament against us with a bullpen game.
BTW, the announcers both last night and tonight (same crew for both games) talked about whether or not Melendez would get the steak for hitting the bull. If the restaurant that puts that up didn't sign him to an NIL deal that allowed him to actually get a free steak, shame on them.

I don’t follow the team much, but this kid appears to have pretty dang good stuff and command.
He's pitching out of his mind tonight. But keep in mind, coming into tonight he had a 6.18 era. Before today he had pitched 15-1/3 innings this season against ACC teams. He had a 12.33 era in those six games.
I don't know if you saw, but they were talking to Mike Bell in the top of the 4th. The last thing they asked him was if Melendez got the steak, and he laughed and said that he got a steak salad.
Even there, that was a great full count pitch.
I did hear Mike Bell comment about the steak salad. These ACCN announcers are pretty good for a change. At least compared to hoops.
