Interesting.... but that's not how classes are ranked

otherwise, a team who had 20 schollies to give, but only got 10 commits could potentially be "ranked" in the top 10 if those 10 were highly ranked kids. Every recruiting service ranks teams on points.....so it's how many recruits you pull in AND their average ratings. In points, you're 70th on Rivals......

Re: Interesting.... but that's not how classes are ranked

Pitt only had 17 scholarships to give.

Class couldn't be much bigger no matter what.

So average stars is more relevant than points.

I'll get fired up about class rankings when it starts to matter. What the coach does with a kid and how badly the kid wants to succeed matters far more. Sure, the better the talent is coming in matters. You need something to build on. But a great coach will make an average player better. An average coach will waste that talent.

Going on another teams board to talk about your recruiting class is kind of like a guy who can't get a date bragging that he is better looking than Hugh Hefner.

didn't say one word about our recruiting class. Was only commenting on how recruiting services rank teams.

So you are just here to help us understand the ranking system? Gee, thanks.
